A wire rope clamp, also known as a wire rope clip, is primarily used for temporary connection of wire ropes and securing the tail rope when threading through a pulley assembly. It is also used to secure the cable end of a wire rope on a pole-mounted cable stay. This includes phosphated wire ropes, galvanized wire ropes, stainless steel wire ropes, and smooth surface wire ropes.
